They encounter more complexity, ambiguity and high impact strategic challenges. Their lens widens as they become an enterprise wide leader and focus less on their functional expertise. It may be their first exposure to Board level discussions and external investors, which brings more visibility and requires executive presence. There’s considerable focus on self-managing the stressors of executive leadership, as well as creating the space to refuel and reflect.
